The Lucky Thirteen

The Deveraux family originates from Normandy. Locational name from "Evreux" in Eure, Normandy. The place is so called from having apparently been the capital of the "Eburovices", a Gaulish tribe. This tribal name appears in turn to derive from the river name "Ebura" (now the Eure), which may perhaps be akin to a Celtic word for the yew tree. The Deveraux’s were first introduced into England after the Conquest of 1066. Our family line ended up in Ireland till the late 1800’s and they immigrated to the United States. The first Deveraux in America, was a young boy when his parents immigrated to America, and they settled in the mountains of Montana. Coming from old money my family never hurt in that department. Our range became one of the biggest ranches in Montana. Handed down generation to generation. Large families spread out across Montana creating more ranches under the Deveraux name, but my generation comes from the eldest son of each generation that inherited the main ancestral home. Which has been added onto over the generations through magic and love. Many generations have attended Ilvermorny and graduated from there. Ilvermorny was where Tristan and Valentina met. Becoming the best of friends their first year there, and falling in love over the years. Valentina's family came from Manhattan in New York City. Growing up in a penthouse apartment, and the only child of two absent minded parents. Her dream was to have a large family. Her parents perished in a plane crash on one of their yearly ski trips to the alps when she was in her last year at Ilvermorny. With no other family Tristan brought her home for holidays after that. They had barely graduated when they married. Valentina was already pregnant with their eldest son. Happily though. Sure she missed her parents, but she had never been close to them. Tristan's parents took her under their wing when she came to the family ranch. Snowy Mountain Ranch is the name of Deveraux family ranch. The closest town isn’t really that much of a town. It consists of mainly two streets. Definitely a one horse town. It was actually founded by the first Deveraux who gave the ranch, and the town the name of Snowy Mountain. The Deveraux ranch lies at the base of the Snowcrest Mountain range. There’s nothing like sitting out on the balcony with a hot cup of hot chocolate with the beautiful mountains for a view. A roaring fire in the fire pit to keep you warm. As well as a throw thrown over you to ward off the chill of the freezing temperatures especially in the winter. Tristan and Valentina welcomed thirteen sons into this world. She called them her Lucky thirteen. They were married for twenty one years before they were killed along with Tristan's parents getting caught in a crossfire of a fight between dark wizards in Snowy Mountain. Their eldest son Tristan stepped in to raise his younger brothers with the help of a few of the older brothers who had graduated from Ilvermorny. In doing so he gave up his dreams, but encouraged each of his younger brothers into following theirs. That was twelve years ago, and the boys are doing the best that they can.

Snowy Mountain Montana was founded by the Deveraux's. It's only a couple of streets, and well off the beaten path. A magical town that isn't well known much to the town's resident's relief. Snowy Mountain Ranch the view from the Deveraux's balcony. Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is where the families attended school from the time they were 11 till they graduated their 7th Year at the age of 17. Mount Greylock is home to Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Down below the Mountain you will find Agawam and Greylock Grove. The nearest somewhat large town, Greylock Grove, is but a few miles from Agawam, and where you can find Crescent Alley and Full Moon Alley. There is also a Magical College called Aupaumet and Pucakan Health Center for the Magical community.
