Salem Institute Children

Most kids dream of getting their letter to Ilvermorny when they turn eleven. Especially those born into hardship and heartache. With no one that loves them. The handful that get lost in the systems. Or the children living on the streets with no where to turn. Trying to escape from a homelife less than ideal. Some even with their magic don't survive. Those that do find themselves either still living the life or having been caught and sent to the Salem Institute. The Salem Institute is their worst nightmare. Even born into the magical world hadn't saved them from this. Locked behind the doors of the institute that has bars on the windows it's their own Azkaban. Punished or tortured for infractions beyond their control. Food withheld for even the slightest error. Most long to go back to the heartache they had before, to get away from the horrors of the Salem Institute. Due to recent circumstances involving a student and the President of MACUSA, and others infiltrating the system and finding out the horrors of it, the institute is now closed and students found homes with relatives that could be found and actually wanted them. Ten of the children had nowhere to go. No next of kin could be found for any of them. So they are finally getting those letters to Ilvermorny that never reached them when they were supposed to. Now they have to learn how live a new life at Ilvermorny.

Agawam Massachusetts was founded by Mohican Indians. Indians that had been hidden when the others were rounded up and placed elsewhere. Hidden in time and space it seemed. A magical town like no other hidden at the base of Greylock Mountain where Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is hidden in the heaven's above. Salem Institute is where the Lost boys and girls were sent. More of a reform school than an actual school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is where the families attended school from the time they were 11 till they graduated their 7th Year at the age of 17. Mount Greylock is home to Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Down below the Mountain you will find Agawam and Greylock Grove. The nearest somewhat large town, Greylock Grove, is but a few miles from Agawam, and where you can find Crescent Alley and Full Moon Alley. There is also a Magical College called Aupaumet and Pucakan Health Center for the Magical community.
